Stop Fuel Starvation Mid-Corner

If you track or autocross your Evo X, you've probably felt it: in a long, hard left-hand corner the engine bogs down mid-corner and kills your exit speed. The cause is the stock fuel tank and sending unit basket, which can't keep a steady supply of fuel to the pump when fuel sloshes away under high lateral load.

The Evolution Dynamics Surge Tank Kit fixes that. We designed and built it in-house for the Evo X.

How It Works

The surge tank acts like a capacitor for your fuel system. The main tank keeps the surge tank full, and the surge tank feeds the engine directly. When the main tank starves for a moment mid-corner, the surge tank still has a reserve of fuel, so the engine never sees the interruption. You can run the main tank as low as you want and still corner hard.

Pump Options

• Walbro 255: external pump for builds up to about 450whp on E85.
• AEM 380LPH: AEM's E85-compatible inline high-flow pump, the modern replacement for the Bosch 044, for bigger turbo builds that need more flow.
• Dual pump: if a single AEM pump isn't enough, we can build a custom dual-pump setup. Contact us for details and pricing.
